Christine Dumontet, R.N.

A member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec, Mrs Dumontet has worked as a nurse for many years in the areas of vaccination and travel health.

The design and development of www.travelhealthassist.com is the result of her experience in meeting the needs of travel health professionals.

As the coordinator of a travel health clinic, she has often had to carry out research to meet the needs, requests and questions of her expanding clientele adequately and traveled in more and more countries.

A large part of this research demanded her to call upon various resources, sites and reference books. The time and efforts required to find all this information was at times tedious, and the information available was not always up to date.

Mrs Dumontet, in close collaboration with software engineering specialists LS2 Investments Inc., spent several months developing a tool capable of helping travel health professionals, travel professionals and travellers find, in one location and at all times, a comprehensive set of travel health information.

This tool will also help professionals manage their time better and obtain almost instantly, from wherever they may be, complete information and updates.

Mrs Dumontet monitors the latest information in the area of travel health on a daily basis and participates regularly in numerous training sessions, conferences, seminars and conventions, in Quebec and elsewhere.

She travels in different parts of the world and shares the information she collected in various countries.

Mrs Dumontet offers training on vaccination and travel health. She also helps starting up travel health clinics to become operational.
